Wow. Tough question. I like all kinds of Disney movies, from Tangled to Big Hero 6 to Pirates of the Caribbean to Maleficent, and Jane Austen movies, and Anne of Green Gables....oh my.

The Prince...he's kind, brave, and quite smitten with Cinderella. We see all kinds of different Prince's, with different looks, personalities, and inspirations. Though they all have one thing in common: a devotion to better their Kingdom, and a undying love for Cinderella.
We know the Prince can dance, and him and Cinderella make a amazing pair.
Sometimes, however, even a Prince such as himself gets rejected. Maybe because he has a fan club...
...Or maybe because the girl he meets really isn't Comtesse Nicole de Lancre.
Then there's, in some movies, a part where the Cinderella's true identity is revealed. Most of the time it is a devastating scene, where the humble girl is utterly crushed, and the Prince is outraged.
Though not all are terrible, like the amazing scene in Disney's 2015 Cinderella, where she confesses to the Prince who she really is, and he loves her just the same. Then they have such a splendid wedding.
And the Prince, well, we suppose he enjoys every second of his life, with his wife by his side.
" In all my years of study, not one tutor ever demonstrated the passion you have shown me in the last two days. You have more conviction in one memory than I have... in my entire being."
I have discovered thee Cinderella tag from Along the Brandywine. and have decided to participate! It's quite funny, really, because I just watched Ever After and the new Disney's Cinderella last week!
1. In the vast array of fairytale heroines, what particular character qualities most define Cinderella?
Kind, courageous, caring, and patient. She is extremely patient with her sinister Step-Mother and sisters, though they care not for her at all. She has courage to walk into a ball, when she has not lived the life of a princess, and love the Prince even when he is not royalty. She is caring for her Step-mother and sisters, and the animals she meets. She is kind, above all, to put others needs before her own.
2. What are some of the deeper, big picture differences you see between retellings where both stepsisters are nasty and others where one is nasty and one is kind? How do you think the two takes differently develop/illuminate/affect Cinderella’s character and also the overarching story itself?
In the Disney's 1950 Cinderella, both the stepsisters are just as nasty as one another. In Ever After, how ever, Marguerite is really the only evil one. Jacqueline corrects her Mother several times when she's hurting Danielle, and evens cleans Danielle's cuts when she gets whipped. I think in the 1950's Cinderella, she's more alone than in Ever After, where she has friends in the servants and is not an enemy with Jacqueline. However, in both movies she is still treated just as horribly.
3. Are you an animal lover? Would you eagerly count mice, lizards, cows, and geese as friends? Dogs and cats?
If you know me, you know I'm a animal lover. Can't get enough of cute lil' pups and the such. I would count mice as my friends, lizards, cows, and geese! Dogs, the nice ones, are especially my friends and friendly cats as well.
4. After asking question #3, I realized how remarkably many of the adaptations I’ve seen have Cinderella either horseback riding or involved with horses. Have you ever ridden? If so, have you ever ridden sidesaddle or bareback? Unfortunately, though I have and will most likely always love horses, I've only ridden a horse once. It was an old ( and when I say old, I mean old) horse, and I was at a kid's day on the farm event. No sidesaddle nor bareback.
5. Your favorite Cinderella dress/s?
This dress is just classy and classic, in the 1950 Disney's Cinderella...
...but Disney overdid themselves when I saw this dress in the new 2015 Cinderella.
6. Do you ever think of Cinderella while doing your household chores? :)
Of course, especially when I'm scrubbing the floors, I think of her singing in the 1950's movie. The song the mice sing when making her dress is so adorable, you just can't get over it.
7. What major character traits do you think are essential in a faithful prince?
Honesty, Courage, kindness, and faithfulness.

1.Peter Pan (has always been my favorite)

3.Snow White (if you have not seen Mirror Mirror, you should)
9. Your top FIVE current favorite fairy tale/legend type films (BESIDES any Cinderella adaptations).
1.Tangled (here comes the smolder)
2.Maleficent ( this movie made me cry)
3.Frozen (I know a lot of people either like Tangled or Frozen. At first, I did not like Frozen, but the more I watch it...well, the more it grows on me.)
4.Brave (can hair get much more amazing?)
5.Beauty and the Beast (can't wait for the upcoming live-action film!)
10. If you could play Cinderella and the story could be set in any region of the world and any time period, what would you pick? And what would your dream ‘ball gown’ for it be like?
1800's and Ireland. There would be no cars, no phones, and so much more simpler things. Ireland because it's so beautiful...the old rocky fields and grazing woolly sheep.

My dream dress would probably be either white or, as Cinderella's blue. It would be a lot like Belle's in Beauty and the Beast.
11. And (purely for fun :))… what color/s do you immediately associate with Cinderella?
Blue, like probably everyone does, and then sparkly blue.
