Happy 1940's week everyone (An Old Fashioned Girl) ! When I think of the 40's, I think of World War Two. Here in the first Captain America is Peggy Carter; some of my favorite styles from the 40's include her WWII uniform.

Then, if you all remember in the last Narnia movie, 'the Dawn Treader', Edmund goes to enlist for the war, and in Lucy's dream (or whatever you would call her taste of the 'beautify' spell) she is Susan in a very 40's looking scene. 

The 1940's are also a setting for the American Girl movie Molly, where again, we see World War Two happening.
